Some TV spots just stay with you forever. We were lucky enough to see this spot years ago, back in the ’80s, when it was on some monthly “best of” reel we subscribed to for inspiration. Back then, we thought it was the greatest TV spot ever. Looking at it today, we’re not sure we were wrong. If this doesn’t bring a smile to your face and a tear to your eye–well, watch it again. You can’t wear it out.

Gah. Everytime I see this, it makes me tear up. It doesn’t help that that little boy reminds me of my brother at that age. Canadian Tire is a part of life up here, and they nailed it with this spot.
Bell Canada must use the same agency as they’ve produced a number of equally heart tugging spots for long distance and mobile phones.
