In early 2010 in Central Indiana, no health system had a clear leadership role in women’s services. Along with our partners at St. Claire Group and our clients at St.Vincent Health, we recognized an opportunity to develop a concept that would speak to women about health issues across multiple media platforms.
St.Vincent already had a nurse hotline for women’s health issues: 317-338-4-HER. We developed a campaign to promote the hotline and to extend great healthcare advice into other media—specifically web and radio. Each month, St.Vincent radio spots would cover timely women’s health topics we’d expound upon at a new women’s health microsite, 3384HER.com.
Then, frankly, we got lucky. Julie Schnieders, a nurse practitioner at St.Vincent Women’s Hospital, agreed to be the face and voice of the campaign. We were smart enough to recognize a star when we found one.
Today, Julie Schnieders is Central Indiana’s most popular authority on women’s health issues. 3384HER.com attracts thousands of visitors a month—mostly from women seeking health tips and information. Just as important, women are taking action: attending free health screenings and events and contacting Julie directly about personal health issues. Clearly, providing good health information is good business for St.Vincent Health.
