Okay, so we watched I Love Lucy when we were kids. Our kids watched I Love Lucy when they were kids. More than a decade after her death, Lucille Ball continues to be a recognizable, much-beloved cultural icon. And more than fifty years after I Love Lucy was in its heyday, it’s still pretty dang funny.

So when we were faced with the task of developing a radio promotion for the Hoosier Lottery’s new I Love Lucy scratch-off game, how could we resist a little funny business ourselves? The show’s very recognizable theme song was ripe for parody. So we wrote some lyrics, enlisted the help of our friends at Ripple FX and well-known vocalist-about-town Mike Wiltrout to record the thing, and viola!

We thought it was funny. And we’re the only people we know who can brag that we got paid for writing lyrics for one of the greatest sitcom theme songs of all time.
