Can You Flush Out All the Words in the Well Done Word Search?

2 min read

Not for nothing are we at Well Done known for our writing chops. Every week, we write thousands of words of messaging strategy and website content and blog posts and video scripts and collateral and more. We work hard at it. We know the importance of finding the exact words we need to move people, and we take it very, very seriously.

Most writers—most creative people in general—will tell you that our work is more about “finding” than “creating.” We laugh when we’re asked to “flush out the copy,” because it usually means we’re supposed to “flesh out” the copy—that is, put some flesh on the bare bones of our ideas. But it really is more like “flushing out,” as if the copy is hiding in the shrubbery, and we’re Elmer Fudd, trying to scare it onto the page.

Anyhow. We’re obsessed with finding the right words. Which is why our new window graphics have taken the form of a word search game—and everyone is invited to play along.

Next time you’re in Fountain Square, stop by our office and check out our front windows. See if you can find all the words in the list below. We’re not saying it’s exactly like the experience of being a writer at Well Done Marketing, but we’re not not saying that, either.

Also: You should know that this wasn’t a writer’s idea. It was the brainchild of Amy McAdams-Gonzales, ACD and design badass. Proof that pretty much all of us at Well Done spend a lot of time thinking about the words….
