Our new graphic designer would tell you that she’s impulsive. We prefer to think of it as curious. Taylor Streeter has explored the seedier streets of Chicago alone. She’s run out of water hiking The Incline in Colorado Springs. That didn’t stop her from climbing Pike’s Peak two weeks later. Or Mt. Yale one week after that.
This is a woman who is comfortable living outside her comfort zone. We can’t wait to see how she fits in our creative department. Learn more about Taylor in the Q&A below.
It seems like you have a little wanderlust. What’s next on the bucket list?
New Zealand and Ireland are at the top of my list. I have a weakness for snow-capped mountains, vibrant green pastures, and breathtaking landscapes.
Do you remember the first thing you designed?
I’m not sure why, but I became obsessed with paisley at one point in my life, and I began to design my own unique pattern. I’ve been tweaking the same pattern since I was 13, taking it a step further every time. I even incorporated it into school projects.
What about Well Done (other than our sweet digs in Fountain Square) appealed to you?
I admire people who are passionate about their work. I am looking forward to being surrounded by and collaborating with an inspiring and creative team—and learning from people that know a hell of a lot more than me. I feed off that kind of energy.
And, once I found out there were dogs here? The deal was sealed.
Tell us something many people may not know about you.
My Mom, who is from Ohio, is white. My dad, who grew up in Illinois, is black. I grew up in Indiana. Until about age seven, I thought that white people lived in Ohio, black people lived in Illinois, and biracial people lived in Indiana. (I understand now that this is not the case.)
Quick: Mario or Luigi?
Luigi. Mostly because I prefer green over red.
Carnivore or vegetarian?
If I could consume a burger, fries, and a chocolate shake for every meal, I would.
Where was your first meal in Fountain Square?
You may not believe it based on my previous answer, but I had the Grilled Veggie Panini at Pure Eatery on my first day at Well Done. I’d give it a 10 out of 10.
We understand you’re a J-Cole fan. Do you have a favorite lyric?
“No need to fix what God already put his paintbrush on.”
