Best of 2018

In 2018 our Well Done team worked on nearly 300 projects for our clients, from digital ad campaigns and videos to social media and websites—and collateral and rebranding projects in between.

How do you pick your favorites? You don’t, really. They’re all great. Kind of like the 23 kids and two dozen or so fur babies that we have between us. There is room in our hearts for them all. And like any good parents, we have fun bragging on them.

Consider this our humble brag about the great clients we get to do great work for.

Helping employees GROW.

Our longtime client Wabash Valley Power Association believes employee development is a process that lasts a lifetime. This year, they launched a new program designed to help employees go beyond understanding how they fit into the organization. GROW also shows them who they are and how they work—and how much their professional development means to the company.

Hendricks Regional Health is dedicated to providing the best patient experience possible. For their sports medicine practice area, that means paying close attention to helping patients achieve their goals—whether that means walking around the house or completing a hand-to-hand acro-yoga handstand. Our production team saw how difficult the latter is at a recent commercial shoot.

Life is better without back pain.

We’ve learned a lot about neurological back pain from Goodman Campbell Brain & Spine. This year, we launched a campaign about the various procedures the practice can use to treat the underlying causes. We created an ad series, including this one for the month of May, and just launched a Google Ads campaign. You can see the campaign landing page here, which has a three-month CTR of 4.7%.

Benjamin Franklin once said, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” Although we’ve since found out he was addressing the issue of fire safety, the message is still true about health. Hancock Health asked us to help them raise awareness for their preventive health services by designing six birthday cards encouraging people to take a proactive approach to their health. Each card touched on the health issues that come with different milestone birthdays. Hancock Health birthday card

Can insurance be fun? In a word, yes.

MJ Insurance has always been an innovator in the insurance business. Their best-kept secret was that they also were a fun place to work. When the 50-plus-year-old company asked us to refresh their brand to reflect their corporate culture, we decided to move as far from a traditional-looking insurance agency as possible. We think theresult is as fresh and inspiring as MJ is as a client.New MJ Insurance branding

I am a voter.

The months leading up to the election were filled with messages about the importance of voting—including one we designed for the League of Women Voters of Indianapolis—and the numbers show they resonated. For the first time in two decades, more than half of Hoosiers cast a vote in the 2018 midterm elections. This was a meaningful project for our team and the city we love.

For the past three years, Well Done has provided production and writing support for Laughing Matters, a fundraiser benefitting Cancer Support Community of Central Indiana. In 2018, we also partnered with local comedian and Laughing Matters host, Dave Dugan, on a pre-event fundraiser lovingly titled, “Out and a Roundabout.” We’ll spare you the dizzying 717 times around a Carmel, Indiana, roundabout it took to set a new world record. Here are the highlights.

P.S. Nick Offerman is the headliner for the 2019 Laughing Matters. Get your tickets before they sell out. Because they will. That Nick Offerman is one funny guy.

How can an advertising agency design more than 100 websites? Having digital strategy, UX design, and full stack development capabilities all in house certainly helps. It also helps to have clients that know the importance of compelling visuals and elegant navigation in telling their stories. The Villages has a beautiful story to tell. Since 2008, the nonprofit has placed more than 624 children with forever families, and 9 out of 10 children in their foster care program are placed in just a single home. It was an honor to make it easier for potential parents to connect with them online.

We do a bunch of different things for Katz, Sapper & Miller, but one of our favorite things to do is help change people’s perception of certified public accountants. This 2018 IBJ Book of Lists ad was one way we shared the passion KSM has for its clients’ success.

When DirectEmployers decided to spin off its recruitment marketing arm, they asked Well Done to help name and brand the new company. We knew they wanted to rule the roost when it came to digital marketing for their clients, so we created a bold new brand identity that helped them stand out from the flock.

At Charles A. Tindley Accelerated School, ambition is everything. The teachers, administrators, parents, and alumni all share the same goal of getting the next generation of students to college so they can become what they want to be. Through Tindley, these kids are writing their own stories. And what amazing stories they are.
