You know what they say: An agency is only as good as its blog. Which is why honing our blog-writing chops is something we take great pride in—especially because you, dear reader, deserve only the best.

Our blog topics covered a ton of ground this year. From gender-neutral pronouns to Game of Thrones to international beer commercials, we had a lot to say about what’s going on in our world. Hello, Ms. President. 2019 was a special year for WDM, and part of what made it so memorable was welcoming Lisa Vielee as the new president of our company. This was a plan years in the making—one that also saw Ken Honeywell transition to creative director—and the results have been nothing short of awesome. If you want to know more about what it means to have a true, full-service agency partner, this is where to start.

Interview with the Interviewer: Well Done Welcomes Cathy Kightlinger. It’s not every day we get to welcome one of Indy’s most respected journalists and PR experts to our team. But that’s exactly what happened earlier this year with Cathy Kightlinger, a well-known local writer who brings many years’ experience to the table working for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Indianapolis Star, and lots of others. We’re excited to have her—and judging by how many people checked out this blog, you’re excited, too!

Is It Icing or Frosting on the Cake: 2019 AP Stylebook Updates. For us word nerds, AP Stylebook updates are exciting because they show us how language and writing standards are evolving—something that’s pretty important in our line of work. That’s especially true for PR writing—which we’ve been doing a lot of lately—so we thought we’d share the AP Style updates from 2019. From the looks of it, we’re not the only word nerds out there.

Support Your Local Tonic Ball Band. Tonic Ball is a tried-and-true tradition these days at Well Done Marketing, and this year was no different. Many claim 2019 had the best Tonic yet—and a big reason was because so many of our friends and neighbors decided to come out and support the nearly 90 local bands who performed. Will it be even better next year? We’ll admit it’s possible…Here’s to Tonic 2020!
