Every year, Well Done Marketing chooses a local Indiana nonprofit to take on as a pro bono client for the year. Some of our previous projects include Rock Steady Boxing and Heartland Film Festival. This opportunity is always such a fun outlet and a chance for every department to work on something a little different, all while supporting the community we live in.
At the beginning of 2020, we researched a range of nonprofits that serve many different causes—working through what they do, what their needs were, and where they could use our help. In the end, we put it up to a team vote and moved forward with Paws & Think.
Dogs Are Magic
Paws & Think is a Central Indiana nonprofit that improves lives through the power of the human-dog connection. Providing youth-canine programs and animal assisted therapy programs, Paws & Think serves at-risk youth, at-risk canines, and adults and children with disabilities or special needs.
This year marked the fourth year of their annual fundraising event, Dogs Are Magic. The theme for this year’s event was “Wizard of Paws” with event activities including a silent auction, costume contest, wine/vodka pull, and a magician. Like so many other events in 2020, this one went virtual for the first time, but still had the biggest turnout Paws & Think had ever seen. They raised $47,000 and sold all of their auction items, which had never happened before.
Over the course of 2020, we worked with them to create a new logo, invitation, and sponsorship packet for Dogs Are Magic. From brainstorming ideas to executing assets for the event, this was such a fun project to be a part of! We started the year off with creating a new logo for Dogs are Magic. Our creative team worked with Paws & Think to find the perfect look and feel for the event. From there, we worked from that new look to design the invitation and sponsorship packet.
While this year was one for the books, we are extremely honored to have been able to support an organization that does so much for the community…and who doesn’t love dogs?
