The Marion County Election Board (MCEB) oversees elections in Indianapolis and the county at large. For the 2020 primary and general elections, MCEB asked us to help them raise awareness about some changes to the county’s voting system—and promote early voting and voting by mail as a means to flatten the curve during the coronavirus pandemic.
We brought along Lady Victory, an emblem of the Circle City, as our mascot for the print and digital portions of the campaign. Bold but lighthearted campaign icons in patriotic colors kept the message friendly—in a year otherwise fraught with angry rhetoric. Each phase of the campaign provided reliable information in a plain and timely manner, with new ads and new layouts rolling out as the run-up to the election progressed and priorities in messaging shifted.
